reperfusion arrhythmia
Reperfusion arrhythmia refers to abnormal heart rhythms that occur when blood flow is restored to previously ischemic cardiac tissue. During reperfusion, sudden changes in oxygen levels, electrolytes, and cellular metabolism can disrupt normal electrical activity of the heart. These arrhythmias are commonly seen after thrombolysis, angioplasty, or cardiac surgery and may range from benign rhythm disturbances to serious, life-threatening conditions requiring immediate medical attention.
