The Whirlpool 2306995 Refrigerator Door Gasket FIP helps maintain a tight seal to keep cold air inside and support efficient cooling performance. This flexible door gasket is designed to fit around the refrigerator door frame, creating an airtight barrier when the door is closed. It works by preventing warm air from entering and reducing cold air loss, which helps the appliance maintain stable internal temperatures. Replacing a worn, cracked, or loose gasket can help improve energy efficiency, support better food preservation, and reduce strain on the cooling system. It is an important component for maintaining reliable refrigeration performance and proper temperature control.
